In the summer of 2023, NUDO had the opportunity to participate in Lyseloth Residence, a two-week program in Basel, Switzerland. This project brings together artists from various backgrounds into the Musikerwohnhaus, an amazing building provided with all the essentials to foster a creative environment.
Our project began with brainstorming sessions where we discussed and played complex rhytmic material in order to domesticate its challenging nature as motifs and themes into our improvisation. We decided to imprint all these worked concepts in an audiovisual production that took place the last day of the residence in the Weisser Saal, a concert hall in the Musikerwohnhaus building.
The whole project was produced by ourselves, but it couldn’t have been done without the help of many friends and colleagues.
